On Monday night I listened to the “House of Noir” radio show. It was great. What a wonderful premise to have it be a call in show. It got harsh at times, but I think that Noir show’s seem to be that way. I really enjoyed listening to it. Next I listened to the show I helped with “Noir We There Yet?” I am really proud of how it turned out. On Thursday I listened to “Noir Not the Father” the imagery was great and the crowd sounds enhanced the whole story. It was a great show. Next I listened to “Noir Talk” , this one was a very different kind of story from the others. It was very mysterious and left the listener with a lot of questions. I like the intrigue.
I listened to the radio programs on the 16th and the 17th. They were both good. I enjoy the twitter along. I don’t know how everyone can get their witty quotes typed so quickly on twitter, but I did my best to keep up. I enjoyed “Strangers on a Train” It was very intense and it flowed very well. On Tuesday we listened to “Mildred Pierce” I didn’t enjoy this one as much, it seemed rushed and at time the end of the dialog was faded out too quickly. It was great to listen to them and get an idea of how they make them. I hope we can make something that our classmates will enjoy listening to.
I did this 3 Star Project for the radio show. It was fun. It was my first attempt at a commercial and I think it came out good. A little corney but it was fun. My husband and I did the audio part and I put it together using audacity and I used an ad I created during design week to decorate it. I downloaded the sounds from freesound.com even the guitar. I hope it makes you want a Grape Nehi.
I did this 3 star audio assignment because I really like “The Barenaked Ladies” and I wanted to share them with the class. They are an amazing band and I wanted to prove that the theme song from the the “Big Bang Theory” is not their best work. I took my CD and turned it into WAV files and used Audacity to edit it. I had a hard time picking just 5 songs. This was a fun project.
Ok, that didn’t work it was pulled down immediately from SoundCloud because of Copyright infringement. I will have to figure out another assignment to do.
I found another 3 star assignment and did it. I did emotions thru sound. I used the sound of someone blowing up a balloon, it popping, the surprise from that, a giggle and a sigh.
This is the Soundboard Conversation assignment for 4 Stars. It was hard, I know the 4 pointers are supposed to be hard but this took me several hours. I started off trying to get on to Soundboard, it would not accept any of my addresses, but finally I got it to sign on using Facebook. I picked the Breakfast Club because I love that movie. I picked 6 quotes to use and downloaded them. I put them into Audacity and started the process of making it work. I had to download my audio separately and upload it to Audacity and it worked great. I wanted to put the song, “Don’t You Forget About Me” in the background to try to make it more obvious which movie I was taking quotes from. I ended up purchasing it on Amazon.com and I couldn’t get that to work. I asked my son (26 years old) and he had it in an email to me in 3 minutes. I am just not as tech savvy as I would like to be. I put the audio together to my liking and uploaded it to SoundCloud. I’m happy with how it turned out.
This was interesting because it was fun to try to find a quote that I could use. The one I used was from “Cesar A. Cruz”
This audio assignment is for 1.5 stars. This is my overly dramatic reading of a child’s poem.
The is the Spooky sounds audio assignment worth 4 stars. This Audio assignment was to edit together spooky sounds. This was kind of fun once I got the hang of it.
This is a audio assignment worth 3 stars. It is my first Audacity attempt. I used to love listening to Mr. Jaws when I was a kid. Mine is nowhere near as good, but it was fun to do.
This is my audio assignment for a sound effect story for my character. This assignment is worth 3.5 stars.
Isabelle is working in the library when she hears a book drop, and a woman scream. She runs to the back door of the library just in time to see a car drive away.
